Haya Labs Super Enzyme Complex is a food supplement in tablet form consisting of a complex of digestive enzymes that take part in the decomposition and assimilation of proteins, carbohydrates and fats.
Betaine hydrochloride is an acidic form of betaine, a natural source of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. This is a necessary component in the digestive process as it helps breakdown and assimilation.
Pancreatin in the Super Enzyme Complex contains a complex consisting of the three basic enzymes: amylase, protease and lipase.
Protease acts as a catalyst in the accumulation of protein molecules in food due to the hydrolysis of the chemical reaction. Meat is among the foods that take the longest to assimilate (5 to 24 hours), where protease helps relieve abdominal heaviness. In the case of athletes who consume more meat in their diet, the enzyme will help with protein assimilation and muscle gain.
Amylase is an enzyme that helps in the rapid breakdown of complex carbohydrates to simple sugars assimilated by the small intestine.
Lipase is a digestive enzyme secreted by the pancreas also known as a gland located behind the abdomen. Lipase is responsible for the breakdown of fats.
The formula includes two other extracts, papaya and pineapple. Bromelain is commonly found in pineapple while papain is found in papaya. They stimulate the decomposition of proteins. The ingredients are supplemented by beef bile extract, a source of cholic acid.
