With age, the concentration of Coenzyme Q10 decreases, causing a decrease in both energy efficiency and antioxidant action, thus favoring the aging process. Lower levels of this enzyme are also found in the presence of heart disease, diabetes, some neurodegenerative pathologies, and in various other pathologies, but lower Q10 values ​​are also found in athletes in particular in endurance sports.

Coenzyme Q10 is well tolerated and generally does not produce any side effects, but beware that it could reduce the effectiveness of some chemotherapy drugs, antihypertensive drugs and warfarin.
